Proximiti Communications Announces the Availability of My Health Phone

December 20, 2011:
Proximiti Communications announced today the general availability of its innovative My Health Phone service through the www.myhealthphone.com web site.   My Health Phone service combines Proximiti’s GSM cellular phone service and proprietary software that provides independent seniors with enhanced access to emergency services traditionally found only in in-house alert systems.   My Health Phone subscribers have immediate access via the touch screen pad of Proximiti’s cell phone to a large Call 911 button at the top of the screen.   This button provides traditional two way communications with true 911 emergency personnel not a call center help desk.   Proximiti has also included a second button to record and send messages to family and caregivers primarily for non-emergency purposes.   Proximiti’s proprietary software is preinstalled and runs automatically in the background and also includes the ability to set up routine check in calls, medication reminders and to do lists for seniors who are trying to maintain their independent lifestyle.   Subscribers are also given the choice to interface via voice calls, text messages or even email.   Subscribers to My Health Phone are automatically provided with a Proximiti My Internet Lockbox account at no additional cost (a savings of $14.99 a year).   My Internet Lockbox allows the user to store important information concerning themselves and their medical condition for access in emergency situations.   Information is stored in Proximiti’s secure data center and can include items like emergency contacts, doctors’ names and numbers, medications, allergies and even documents like living wills.   After subscribers enter their data, they are provided with and Emergency Medical Card with they can carry in their wallet or purse.   In the event of an emergency, hospital and first responders can utilize your card to access the stored information.

Gregg Smith, CEO of Proximiti comments:   "My Health Phone by Proximiti provides an independent living tool that provides day-to-day living assistance for seniors as well as one touch emergency access to 911 and family members via our specialized cell phone service.   Seniors and their families will have enhanced peace-of-mind knowing that Proximiti’s check-in and reminder services can help support independent living by helping with day-to-day routines.   Furthermore, by providing caregivers and emergency personnel with remote access to critical patient healthcare directives, seniors can maximize the opportunity that their wishes will be followed in emergency situations even if they are incapacitated."

Jeremy Hillman Director of Business Development further noted:   "Proximiti’s My Health Phone service offers significant advantages over other personal emergency alert systems in that it can be utilized both inside and outside the home – even if traveling.   In addition to supporting normal voice communications, it can also support both SMS texting and email communications and its use is not limited to emergency situations."
